In an effort to raise money for tsunami victims, Commercial Bank of Texas, N.A. has opened a special Tsunami Victims Relief Fund account. They will be accepting donations through the end of January in an effort to raise money for tsunami victims.
"We know East Texans have big hearts and we wanted to make it easy for them to give without worrying about whether their donation would be used in the best ways possible. The Salvation Army World Service Office has a wonderful history of helping people worldwide and are on-site in South Asia offering aid and disaster-relief. That's why we've chosen to partner with them. Let's show our East Texas generosity by doing what we can to support the thousands of victims of this tragic disaster," said Tommy Ellison, President of CBTx. Ellison donated the first $1,000 to get the special Tsunami Victims Relief Fund started.
Simply stop by any CBTx facility in Nacogdoches, Lufkin, Diboll, Kennard or Wells to make a donation to the Tsunami Victims Relief Fund. On February 1, all donations will be combined and forwarded to The Salvation Army World Service Office.
