LUFKIN, TX (KTRE) -

A federal grand jury indicted a Polk County man on a felony child pornography charge in connection to allegations that he distributed child porn photos and videos between Sept. 1, 2009 and Dec. 31, 2011.

The indictment documents for Michael Alphonse were filed with the United District Court's Eastern District Court of Texas.

According to the indictment, Alphonse is accused of distributing child pornography-related photos and videos via a 320 gigabyte Freecom USB hard drive which was labeled with the word “Bambi,” “using any means of facility of interstate or foreign commerce and that had been mailed, shipped, and transported in or affecting interstate or foreign commerce.”

If he is convicted, Alphonse faces five to 20 years in federal prison and a fine of up to $250,000. In addition, he could face a term of supervised release that could last anywhere from five years to life.
