NACOGDOCHES, TX (KTRE) - Wag your tail for Carmella. She's a one-year-old caramel-colored pitbull mix.
"She came in as a stray and has been here for about a month and a half," said Torion Johnson with the Nacogdoches Animal Shelter.
Staff at the shelter said Carmella get's lots of attention but no one has come back for her yet.
"She's had a lot of interaction from the volunteers that come in and walk her, take her out, and give her treats and stuff. She's pretty well trained so far," Johnson said.
One look into Carmella's big, beautiful blue eyes and you'll surely fall in love and want to take her home right away.
"You don't find many pitbulls with the blue eyes that's really hard to find," Johnson said. "She's very sweet, of course you can see, but she also has a high-energy personality as well."
Staff said Carmella will fit in with any home situation and be a friend to anyone, including kids.
"Like right now, when I'm touching her, she's calm, of course, but when she gets outside, she's playful. She likes to run and loves to play," Johnson said.
