NACOGDOCHES, TX (KTRE) - Pulpwood Queens, the largest book club in the world is celebrating their 15th anniversary and annual Girlfriend's Weekend in Nacogdoches.

Dozens of authors are in town to talk about their work and mingle with their readers. The founder of Pulpwood Queens created the book club right here in East Texas in Holly Lake Ranch, north of Tyler.

"we don't take ourselves very seriously that's why we wear funny costumes and stuff but we do take our authors very seriously and we like to help especially authors that are not as well known get discovered in a big way," said Kathy Murphy, founder of Pulpwood Queens.

The book loving group will be in town all weekend, with author panels Friday and Saturday, awards for the book club and the Great Big Ball of Hair Ball Saturday night.
