Angelina College baseball has added an East Texan to their future roster now that Kyle Brandon Elliott out of Zavalla has signed the dotted line.
The future Roadrunner picked Angelina College because of the coaching staff, and you can't argue the convenience of playing and going to school right in your back yard.
The pitcher said he's played on a few big stages but realizes the competition will be stiff and much harder at the next level.
While Elliot's talent speaks for itself, he thinks there's more he can bring to the team.
“I think I could help with the team morality and things like that. I don't feel like I'd be a nuisance,” said Elliot. “Apparently the coach thinks enough of my physical ability to help the team so I'll let him talk about that, but I think I'd be able to fit well with the team.”
“He's got a good live arm. He's got a chance to have some real, tight-breaking stuff. The tools are what we're looking for from somebody that we want to be on the mound. He really throws the ball well,” said Angelina College baseball coach Jeff Livin.
