Lufkin Crime Stoppers Crime of the Week: LPD searching for Lunch Box robber

LUFKIN, TX (News Release)

Crime Stoppers needs your help identifying a man who robbed an employee of The Lunch Box restaurant on North John Redditt Drive in Lufkin.

At 7 a.m. January 5th, the robber casually entered the building, withdrew and prepared a concealed handgun and threatened an employee who was readying the restaurant to receive morning customers.

The black male suspect was wearing a pom-style toboggan cap, dark-colored hooded sweatshirt, dark-colored pants, and what appear to be flat-sole, deck-style shoes, possibly gray fabric with white soles. The handgun he displayed was a semi-automatic with a black frame and a silver slide.

The video angles make it difficult to identify the robber's physical characteristics but someone reading this article or watching the video knows this criminal and can provide the information necessary to solve this crime.

Although the robber pointed the gun directly at the victim, no one was injured. The criminal took money from the cash register and the employee's iPhone before fleeing from the area.
