NACOGDOCHES, TX (KTRE) - The Precinct 1 Constable's Office arrested a 23-year-old man on Tuesday in connection to an allegation that he stole at least one big-screen television from the Aaron's Rental store on University Drive in Nacogdoches.
Kevin O'Neal Tucker, of Nacogdoches, is still being held in the Nacogdoches County Jail on a state-jail felony theft between $1,500 and $20,000 charge. His bail has been set at $5,000.
According to the arrest affidavit, a Nacogdoches Police officer responded to a theft report at the Aaron's Rental located at 717 North University Drive on July 2, 2014. The store's manager said while he was doing a routine inventory, he found seven televisions missing.
The manager also told the officer that they believed that they had proof that showed Tucker, who was employed at the rental business at the time, stole at least one of the TVs.
In the surveillance video, which was shot on June 21, someone hiding behind an open refrigerator door was manipulating a 70-inch Vizio television, so that it could be removed from the business via a rear walk-through door. A short time later, Tucker is seen walking through the same door.
After the theft, a woman pawned the stolen 70-inch at a local pawn shop. During an interview, the woman identified a Tucker as the person who sold her the stolen TV.
