Citizens National officially takes over Lufkin branches of Bank of America

LUFKIN, TX (KTRE) - Citizens National Bank has closed on the sale of the Lufkin branches of Bank of America.

The bank's Angelina County chairman, Trent Ashby, said Bank of America is moving its assets out Friday and will hand over the keys Friday evening.

Ashby said Citizens National Bank will begin moving in Saturday morning and will be open from noon until 5 p.m. Sunday for anyone who has questions about the transition of accounts or who wants to open accounts.

The Henderson-based bank announced the purchase in September. In addition to the Lufkin branches, Citizens also bought up branches in Corsicana, Huntsville and Mount Pleasant.
