NACOGDOCHES COUNTY, TX (KTRE) -

The Nacogdoches County Sheriff's Office is searching for the person responsible for a car fire Sunday morning in Nacogdoches County.

According to the NCSO, around 3 a.m. Sunday, they received a call about a burglary in the 200 block of Emporia. When deputies arrived on the scene, the homeowner told them that his truck had been stolen.

“We took a report but had little leads to go on,” said John Wayne Valdez, sergeant with the NCSO.

Then around 8.a.m., NCSO got a break in the case. A call came into the department about a truck on fire at Country Road 829. Valdez says when deputies arrived on the scene, they discovered it was the same truck that had been reported stolen earlier.

As of now, there are no suspects in this case.
