HUDSON, TX (KTRE) - Hudson police have made an arrest in the robbery of a convenience store after receiving tips on the man's identity through surveillance video.
Timothy Shane Mitchell, 30, of Lufkin, is charged with first-degree aggravated robbery.
Hudson Police Chief Jimmy Casper said Mitchell was identified as the robber after they released the surveillance video on Jan. 13.
Mitchell is the suspect believed to have walked into the Hudson Convenience Stop on State Highway 94 and pointed a gun at the clerk and demanded money from the cash register. A second suspect was waiting outside the business in a pickup truck and drove off with Mitchell.
Casper said they are still working to identify the second suspect.
Casper said Mitchell was arrested without incident around 5:20 p.m. at America's Mobile Home Park in Hudson.
The Angelina County Sheriff's Office, Lufkin police and Texas Rangers assisted in the investigation, Casper said.
