NACOGDOCHES, TX (KTRE) -

Nacogdoches Crime Stoppers is seeking information about a robbery that occurred at the town's Walmart on Jan. 20 in which a suspect with a basket of merchandise pushed his way past an employee.

According to a press release, the robbery occurred shortly after 8:30 a.m. on Jan. 20. The surveillance video shows the suspect being stopped at the store's main entrance by a female employee.

"The thing is that these things can turn violent at any time, and this one turned violent," said Sgt, Greg Sowell, a spokesman for the Nacogdoches Police Department.

The suspect is described as a muscular black man in his mid- to late-20s.

Nacogdoches Crime Stoppers will pay a cash reward of any information that leads to the arrest or grand jury indictment of the suspect in the case. All information is confidential and you don't have to give your name.

"We really need to get this person off the street." said Sowell. "We have still photo, we have video, and if anyone has any information they can call Crime Stoppers. You never give your name and you can get up to $1,000 cash."
