NACOGDOCHES, TX (KTRE) - Music and live disc jockeys can be heard again on Stephen F. Austin State University's 90.1 KSAU-FM radio station.
The student-run radio station was down for two months, while they updated their old transmitter site.
The station is now functioning at a much high quality, and students and staff are happy to be reaping the benefits of this new technology.
"Well we are very excited about that, and we are most appreciative to the board of regents, Dr. Pattillo, and Dr. Berry for their support, because without the quarter of a million dollars that was allocated to my department, we wouldn't have been able to renovate the transmitter site," said SFA Mass Communication Department Chair Dr. John Hendricks.
Hendricks explained that the radio station is a great way for SFA mass communication students to get real world experience before landing their first media jobs.
