LUFKIN, TX (KTRE) - An Orange man will remain in jail on felony assault and robbery charges after an Angelina County judge refused to lower his bail to the requested $5,000.
Antone James-Leslie Hereaux, 26, was in court Tuesday, seeking a reduced bond from the originally set $200,000.
Hereaux was one of four people accused of kidnapping a man out of his Diboll home and taking him to another home, where they are accused of hitting, kicking and choking him before trying to get a dog to attack him.
Hereaux's lawyer, William Agnew, asked District Judge Bob Inselmann to reduce the bond to $5,000. Inselmann dropped it to $100,000.
Hereaux's trial is set for March.
