TYLER COUNTY, TX (KTRE) - Four children have died in a mobile home fire in the Spurger area early Wednesday morning.

According to Tyler County Emergency Management, the fire started around 2:30 a.m. The mother and father and two children, aged five months old and 2, were able to get out. The other four children, two boys and two girl, ranging in ages from 4 through 8, were in bedrooms on the other side of the home and died.

The mother and two surviving children were taken to a Woodville hospital for treatment. The father refused treatment at the scene.

"I can't imagine losing one child let alone four children," said Bonnie Sanders, a family member.

A GoFundMe page has been set up for the family.

Family members say the children who died were Dycin, Koltyn, Kyi'Leigh and Haven Loftin. The parents are Amanda and Jimmy Loftin and the surviving children are Thomas and Kayann Loftin.

Sheriff Bryan Weatherford says the cause of the fire is still being investigated but no foul play is suspected.
