LUFKIN, TX (KTRE) - The Texas Court of Appeals has refused to hear the case of a Lufkin man convicted of molesting a 10-year-old girl in April 2011, upholding the district court's 25-year prison sentence.
Donald Miller Ball, 39, pleaded guilty in March 2013 to the case. A visiting judge in Angelina County handed down the sentence.
While Ball pleaded guilty, he did reserve the right to appeal the sentence.
The court of appeals handed down its ruling on Wednesday.
According to a previous report, Ball was staying at a friend's house one night when he came into the girl's bedroom and touched her inappropriately.
