LUFKIN, TX (KTRE) - The husband of a Lufkin woman killed in a shooting in the Englewood subdivision Thursday night is in custody.

Lufkin Police arrested Joshua Dale Ingram, 31, in connection to the death of his wife, 29-year-old Jessica Ingram.

Acting on a tip, police officers responded to a home on the 400 block of Cunningham Drive. The body of Jessica Ingram was discovered along with a three-month-old baby, who was unharmed. The child was later released into the custody of relatives.

Police spokesman David Casper said the tip came around 8 p.m. from Ingram's mother in California. She said Ingram had told her that he had just shot his wife and was about to shoot himself. Joshua was arrested near Pal's Video Plus on Frank Street after a three-hour search for his green Jeep.

Ingram was booked into the Angelina County Jail overnight. A bond amount has not been set.
