A tragedy turned more tragic

You may know the feeling of losing a loved one, and how it's never easy to deal with, no matter how expected it is. When you hire someone like hospice to help, you expect the moment to be easier. What you don't expect is to deal with two intoxicated workers who get into a shouting match with you while you try to grieve. That's what an Angelina County family says they had to do early today when their loved one died. Now, they'll remember this day for different reasons and they explained it all to our own Blair Ledet. And tonight at 6, we will let you listen to the startling audio recording of the altercation.

As we reported last night at KTRE.com, a Lufkin woman is dead and her husband is arrested following a shooting. At 6, Caleb Beames talks to a friend of the woman who says this is out of character for the couple, especially considering they had a baby together just three months ago.

Also at 6, Caroline Manning will be LIVE from Cushing, where the school is ready to unveil its new gym and to host two big district matchups for the Bearkats and Lady Bearkats.

And finally, you may be wanting to get your pets spayed or neutered, but can't afford it. That may not be an excuse for you anymore in Nacogdoches County. Donna McCollum explains why at 6.
