SFA students collect supplies for Valentine's charity project

NACOGDOCHES, TX (KTRE) -

In the spirit of Valentines, students at Stephen F. Austin State University are showing their love for others by handing over their gently used clothes and school supplies.

The Student Activities Association is collaborating with East Texas' Harold's House and Share Africa Organization to provide better resources for children in need.

Student coordinator of the "Make a Difference" event, says she has been amazed by the students and community participation.

"This event basically just gives the whole Stephen F. Austin community an opportunity to get involved and make a difference in these kids lives because they are less fortunate than we are," said Jada Semien. "It's always great to help out."

SAA is welcoming donations from the East Texas community until this Friday, February 13.
