TRINITY, TX (KTRE) -

Trinity police are looking for a man known as "Rev" who is a person-of-interest in a shooting on Main Street Thursday afternoon.

Chief Steven Jones said they received a report of a shooting on the 400 block of Main Street. When they arrived, they found a man suffering from a gunshot wound. Though he was coherent and able to talk, he did suffer serious injuries.

Jones said the man identified the shooter as someone with the nickname "Rev" and that they were arguing over a woman.

Jones said "Rev" has been identified as Brent Singleton, 48, a black man believed to be driving a 1997 Ford extended cab that is blue with a tan bottom.

Jones said the victim was taken by ambulance to a Trinity hospital, then flown to a Tyler hospital. His injuries could be life-threatening.
