LUFKIN, TX (KTRE) - Meet this goofy guy Roger. The two-year-old Catahoula mix with a merle and white coat has a habit of hanging his tongue out.
"There's not a lot of information on Roger just a stray that was brought into the shelter," said Aaron Ramsey, the director of the Kurth Memorial Animal Shelter. "He's been with us a long time. If you remember not too long ago, we had our flooring project done here at the shelter, and he actually went to another shelter and stayed during that project, and now he's back with us and he's ready to find a great family."
Roger just has a goofy personality and a kind of a funny, cartoon-ish look about him, but he's just a big baby who's looking for a family that will love him and play with him always.
"He has a really unique characteristic if you noticed. I don't know if it's an issue with his tongue or lip, but he likes to hang his tongue out the right side of his mouth," Ramsey said.
He's fully grown and is just the perfect size. Not too big, not too small.
"Personality wise, he is just a great dog. loves to play and run," Ramsey said. "We try to get him out every day in our yard and let him get some exercise, and he would make a great family dog. He's really good with kids. He is a mellow dog, but when he does want to play he wants to play, and he'll play."
Roger is up-to-date on his shots but still needs to be neutered.
