36 Years Dedicated to Hospital

by Jessica Cervantez

When you work at a place for nearly four decades, you deserve a retirement party. Family and friends in Lufkin said "good-bye" and "good luck" to a long time healthcare worker.

Lanora Cowart has dedicated 36 years of her life working at memorial hospital in Lufkin. She started working on the switchboard and ended her career as a medical transcriber for the doctors.

Co-workers say her dedication to the hospital and doctors will be missed. While Lanora will miss her hospital family, she is ready to spend more time with her own family, including her grandchildren.
