NACOGDOCHES, TX (KTRE) - A federal judge sentenced a former Nacogdoches ISD cafeteria worker to 15 years in federal prison and another 15 years of “supervised release” for recording sexually explicit video of a 15-year-old girl in the bathroom of his home Wednesday morning.

Justine Owen LeJeune, 32, of Nacogdoches, appeared at a sentencing hearing in a Lufkin federal courtroom Wednesday morning. On Jul 31, 2014, Lejeune pleaded guilty to a federal charge of attempted production of child pornography.

“I want to apologize to the people involved in this case that I've hurt and to my family for what I've done,' Lejeune said in court.

Ronaldo Morin, Lejeune's defense attorney declined to comment after the sentencing of his client.

Morin told the court that he believed the sentence was just and that it would allow Lejeune to get the help he needs.

As part of the conditions of the supervised release period that will follow his prison term, Lejeune will be required to register as a sex offender every year for the rest of his life. In addition, he is banned from owning any type of pornography or camera.

Lejeune will also be required to sex offender, mental health, and drug treatment programs while he is in prison, and he will be required to continue the sex offender treatments while he is on supervised release.

he Nacogdoches County Sheriff's Office arrested Lejeune in December after authorities executed a search warrant on his house on FM 3314 and found a large number of child pornography, along with video recording devices hidden in various parts of his home.

Nacogdoches County Chief Deputy Stephen Godfrey said it was one of the largest pornography cases he has seen.

"There were Thousands and thousands of images, and I don't know if they ever got the final count of images that were forensically recovered by Lufkin Police Department technicians," Godfrey said.

Godfrey said he is not sure of the apology that Lejuene offered.

"I can understand making one mistake but repeated mistakes," Godfrey questioned. "It kind of makes you wonder if he's sorry for what he did or sorry that he got caught."

The count which Lejeune pleaded guilty to states he "did attempt to use a minor ... who was engaged in sexually explicit conduct, for the purpose of producing a visual depictions of such conduct that was produced using materials that had been mailed, transported, and shipped in interstate and foreign commerce" on Sept. 24, 2007.

In exchange for the guilty plea, federal prosecutors dropped a second federal charge of possession of child pornography. According to the second count listed in Lejeune's federal indictment, he was accused of owning a Toshiba external hard drive which contained one or more visual depictions of minors engaging in sexually explicit conduct. The indictment stated that the hard drive contained child pornography videos involving girls as young as 7 years old.

Additional felony charges are pending with the state. Lejeune was also charged with first-degree felony aggravated sexual assault of a child, second-degree felony sexual assault of a child, and second-degree felony indecency with a child by sexual contact in connection to allegations that he molested an 8-year-old girl at a residence on Mockingbird Street in 1999.

According to the arrest warrant, Lejeune touched the girl inappropriately more than once.
