Lufkin phone store burglarized early Thursday morning

LUFKIN, TX (KTRE) - A Lufkin phone store was the victim of an overnight burglary.

Lt. David Young said the Lufkin Police Department received a call shortly after 4 a.m. Thursday morning that the Allcom phone store on John Redditt Dr.

"A newspaper delivery man was in the area and noticed the door was broken out," Young said.

Store manager Philip Collier said several phones and tablets were stolen.

"I got here at 6, and someone had thrown a stone through the door here and broke a panel," Collier said. "When I got here the iPads were missing, and about 6 phones or so were missing. Glass was everywhere, so it was kind of a sad situation."
