LUFKIN, TX (KTRE) - "Trailriders" from around the state started their annual trek to Houston's rodeo, which kicks off Saturday.
This group, the "Old Spanish" riders, passed through downtown Lufkin today.
The riders be camping out in Diboll tonight.The "Old Spanish" riders have the second longest route covering 216 miles to Houston with 50 riders.
Tomorrow, they'll be stopping at an assisted living home in Livingston for their "Go Western Day" to talk to residents about their trail ride experience.
More than 3,000 riders are participating this year.
