NACOGDOCHES, TX (KTRE) - The long anticipated wait is over. Dolli's Diner opened downtown in Nacogdoches on Friday.
Diners wasted no time filling the tables in the restaurant located in the historic Annie Hoya Building.
The soft opening came at breakfast. By noon, every table was full - for good reason.
"Breakfast, lunch and dinner seven days a week," said Jim Wallace, Dolli's dad and a co-owner of the restaurant. Something you don't have anything downtown like this. It will be on the weekends when people come down to visit Nacogdoches there's nothing open down here. We'll be open seven days a week."
The renovation of the historic building which now houses Dolli's and some loft apartments took longer than anticipated.
Hopefully, customers will be saying it was worth the wait.
