Authorities: Nacogdoches man busted for 63 grams of crystal meth

NACOGDOCHES, TX (KTRE) -  A Nacogdoches man was arrested early Tuesday for second-degree felony of possession of a controlled substance.

Nacogdoches County deputies stopped Joaquin Rodriguez on Highway 59 and Highway 259 at 4 a.m. Tuesday for a traffic violation. According to the report, they noticed Rodriguez was very nervous and decided to search his vehicle.

 The deputies  said they discovered 63 grams of crystal methamphetamine underneath the driver's side floor mat. The estimated street value for the drug is $6,500.

 Rodriguez is currently being held in the Nacogdoches County Jail.

 The sheriff's office is currently investigating where the meth was going.
