Nacogdoches golf tournament benefits Bibles for Haiti

East Texans have a chance to have a golfing good time and raise money to spread the word of God at the same time next weekend.

On Saturday, March 21, Project Bib La will host a four-man scramble at Woodland Hills Golf Course. There will be first, second and third place prizes, along with door prizes and “closest to the pin” prizes.

Project Bib La is an effort to provide Haitian Creole Bibles to the people of Haiti.

Fees are $50 a player or $200 for a team. Every player will receive a free Project Bib La T-shirt.

Anyone interested in playing should contact Jeff Awtrey by calling or texting him at 936-676-8927. The deadline to sign up is March 14.

Below is a list of prizes:

First-place winners: $100 gift card for Golf USA.

Second-place winners: One round of golf from Woodland Hills.

Third-place winners: $25 gift card for Academy Sports.

Closest-to-the-hole prizes: Yeti cooler and golf bag from Chick-Fil-A.

Door prizes: Studio session with Shaw Photography and Whataburger goodie bags.
