Nacogdoches man accused of sexually assaulting girl gets second charge

NACOGDOCHES, TX (KTRE) - An additional charge has been filed against the 35-year-old Nacogdoches man who was arrested Sunday after a 14-year-old girl allegedly called 911 and said that he raped her and was in the process of sexually assaulting her 13-year-old sister.

Bruno Rodriguez is still being held in the Nacogdoches County Jail on a first-degree felony aggravated sexual assault of a child charge and a second-degree indecency with a child charge. Collectively, his bail has been set at $95,000.

According to the arrest affidavit for the new charge, a Nacogdoches County Sheriff's Office investigator spoke to a deputy about a call about a sexual assault involving a 13-year-old girl. The investigator learned that over the course of an interview the girl did at Harold's House, she said that Rodriguez had put his hands inside her clothes and touched her inappropriately.

The SANE exam revealed that the girl had injuries that were consistent with molestation, the affidavit stated.

According to the arrest affidavit for the previous charge, NCSO deputies responded to a disturbance call at a residence in the county Sunday. Dispatch told them that a 14-year-old girl had called and said that Rodriguez had raped her and had tried to sexually assault her sister, according to the affidavit.

Then the girl disconnected from the 911 call, saying that Rodriguez was in the living room of the home trying to rape her sister.

When the deputies arrived on the scene, they were able to located and detain Rodriguez. After the deputies interviewed those involved and reviewed the evidence, they determined that one of the girls had been sexually assaulted by Rodriguez, the affidavit stated.
