LUFKIN, TX (News Release) - The Lufkin Police Department has arranged for Police Civil Service Entrance Exam tutoring.
Applicants for police officer positions with the City of Lufkin Police Department must pass the Police Civil Service Entrance Exam and some applicants have trouble with, or merely worry about, the math portion of the exam.
The date for the next entrance exam has not been established, but the Lufkin Police Department wants potential applicants to be prepared. To assist applicants, a certified teacher will conduct tutoring for the math portion of the entrance exam. Tutoring will take place Wednesday, March 18, 2014, from 6 p.m. to 9 pm, in Room 202 of Lufkin City Hall.
There is no cost for attending the tutoring session, all materials will be provided, and participants do not need to per-register. Anyone interested in attending should arrive at Lufkin City Hall before 6 p.m. March 18.
If attendees of the March 18 tutoring session express interest in additional sessions, and commit to attending, the teacher will schedule additional sessions for each Wednesday evening.
