It's on to the next one for the Lady Pack as they are gearing up for the Area Round. Next on the hit list is Red Oak.
In what has already been a historic season for the girls, their goal is to advance past the area round, which would be a first in program history.
The girls wasted no time getting back to the field Monday, after they beat Longview Pine Tree last week 2-1.
They said they got all the playoff jitters out of their system then, and feel good playing back at Tyler Rose Stadium.
“I feel like that's an advantage for us especially for playing two games in a row and playing this third one. We feel pretty confident making it our home,” said senior captain Suzy Reyes.
“The last time we were in this position, in the second round, was about 13 years ago. So they know what's at stake and they want to keep proving that this is where we belong. We belong here at this stage and more,” said head coach J. Antonio Encarnacion.
The Lady Panthers will play Red Oak Thursday at Tyler Rose Stadium starting at 6 p.m.
