ANGELINA COUNTY, TX (KTRE) - The State Fire Marshal's Office is now handling the investigating of a house fire on Fuller Springs Drive that resulted in two people being injured Monday.
"We have been out there," said Angelina County Sheriff Greg Sanches.
Sanches said that, so far, they haven't found anything that might merit a criminal investigation.
Several Angelina County fire departments responded to the blaze. The fire was called in at 12:10 p.m. Monday.
According to an Angelina County Sheriff's Office deputy that responded to the fire, two people were in the home when the fire broke out. Both people were taken to a Lufkin hospital for treatment.
By 12:40 p.m., the house was fully engulfed in flames. The fire got intense enough that it lit nearby shrubs and trees on fire.
