LUFKIN, TX (KTRE) -

Collapsing trees are still an issue in Lufkin due to the still wet ground from all the recent rain.

A tree actually fell through a house located at 1419 Keltys Street. The home belongs Loretta Roberts, a piano player at church in Corrigan.

Although Roberts and her husband knew the tree needed to be cut down, they didn't have the finds to get it removed. It was a Catch-22 situation for them. No one would cut it down because she didn't have insurance, but she couldn't get insurance because of the tree.

When the tree fell at about 2 a.m. Wednesday, it fell into the couple's living room. No one was hurt.

Roberts said she and her husband will need assistance paying for the repair of their home.
