Crime Stoppers Crime of the Week: Man with steak knife robs Lufkin business

LUFKIN, TX (News Release) - Crime Stoppers needs your help identifying a man who used a steak knife to rob an employee of a Lufkin business.

The employee described the criminal as a six-foot-tall black male with his hair in dreads on top and clean-shaven on the sides. During his first trip through the store, he wore a red hoodie with "Glory Boyz" printed across the chest but, when he returned two hours later, he had removed the hoodie and was wearing a tan watch cap. He has a tattoo around his left arm that a witness described as being biblical scripture.

He attempted to use a credit card to purchase a Playstation 3 game system, but when the card was declined, he displayed a steak knife. Apparently, he thought displaying a weapon would cause the employee to handover the merchandise. When the employee didn't react, the thief turned to robbery and attacked the employee.

Thankfully, the assault on the employee did not result in injury, but the criminal succeeded in taking the Playstation. He ran to the front of the store and fled in a small, dark-colored, four-door car.
