NACOGDOCHES, TX (KTRE) -

The Stephen F. Austin State University Multicultural Center is celebrating Diversity Month with a number of events, with the first happening Tuesday night.

A Peace Meal scheduled for evening will encourage diversity-related dialogue. The goal is increasing peace, respect, and love in our community.

Another event later in the week is the Asian Night Market on Thursday.

“Our Asian Culture Club, one of the organizations we advise is having their third annual Night Market and this actually resembles a traditional Asian Night Market,” said Dr. Osaro Airen, the director of SFA's Office of Multicultural Affairs. “There's going to be food, entertainment, and I mean it's fun. We invite the entire town to come out."

It all happens in the park in front of the SFA student center.

You can find the month's complete schedule of events at the SFA Office of Multicultural Affairs website.
