Catherine Grove, in her own words

We've been trying for months to speak with Catherine Grove, the woman who cut off ties from her family to join the Church of Wells. After re-joining her family and then returning to the church, Grove has decided to share her story. We'll tell you her side of the story at 6.

At 6, we report on two men arrested. One for sexual assault and the other for physical assault. The alleged victims of each were children. As Blair Ledet reports, the community gathered to pray for victims like these to commemorate Child Abuse Prevention Month.

Also today was the "Operation Purple Haze" disaster drill at a Lufkin hospital. Several nursing students from Hudson High and Angelina College participated and as Michael Douglas reports at 6, it became a chance for peer nurses to cultivate the students, who could join them as co-workers.

And at 5, Donna McCollum explains how the drill in Nacogdoches provided workers a way to test out their way to connect victims with their families, in the case of a disaster.

And as the countdown to the 7th annual KTRE Pineywoods Showdown continues, we take you to Glory Gang Ministries, where the Nacogdoches County boys are hoping to bring more funding by picking up a win at the Showdown.
