NACOGDOCHES, TX (KTRE) -

At the Nacogdoches Head Start the children started the morning with yoga. The children modified the various positions, but by the looks of things they still got their stretching exercises in. It was a great way to end a very busy week.

“We're celebrating our youngest learners, so each day, Monday through Friday, we've had different activities planned promoting physical education, nutrition, creative arts, and inviting our community out,” said Diann Wise, the education coordinator for Nacogdoches Head Start. “We've had different community people come out and read to our children."

Over 240 children in Head Start and Early Head Start were enriched by the Week of the Young Child activities.
