ANGELINA COUNTY, TX (KTRE) - The Cessna that crash landed south of Diboll last Friday is on its way to federal investigators.
The plane was hoisted into place on a trailer Tuesday afternoon.
Lone Star Retrieval, a aircraft recovery company based in Red Oak, near Dallas, is transporting the wreckage to the National Transportation Safety Board and Federal Aviation Administration.
The company will hand off all the parts to the federal investigators, once it completes the 150-mile trek from Angelina County to to the Dallas area.The NTSB and FAA will probe the plane to determine why it went down.
The pilot and his two passengers were hurt, but survived the crash.
