NACOGDOCHES, TX (KTRE) - E-Tech of Nacogdoches joined together with their local United Way to kick off the United Way pledge drive.
The event featured partner agencies like the Family Crisis Center of East Texas and Girl Scouts, among many others, to share what they do to help the East Texas community.
"It's given us an opportunity for our agents to see where some of their money goes, as they make the donations," said Etech Director of Operations David Carrizales. "It also gives us an opportunity to put Etech out there. We are currently in the process of hiring over three hundred people over the next three months."
However, the Nac United explained they always have one big goal in mind and that is getting people jobs, who are eager to work in the East Texas area.
"We are very excited about this year, as you know the economy has been a bit of a slow slump in the last couple of years, so we definitely feel the energy in the year and this early campaign is just a wonderful indicator that we are going to have a wonderful "Live United" campaign for 2016," said VP/COO of the Nacogdoches United Way Michelle Smith.
