CROCKETT, TX (KTRE) - A lot of bosses in Crockett earned thumbs up from their administrative assistant or secretary today.

It's part of the observance of National Administrative Professional's Day.

This is the tenth year for KIVY-FM to host the appreciation.

The word went out all over Houston County for bosses to treat their assistance to a great lunch.

Houston County Sheriff Darrell Bobbitt said the honor for his assistant Mary Jordan and others is well deserved.

"It goes beyond words. She's the integral part of our entire agency. There's no part of our office that she does not have her hands in and that she assists with," Sheriff Darrell Bobbitt said about his assistant standing by his side.

The administrative assistants or secretaries enjoyed chicken spaghetti from "The Moosehead Cafe on the Square" in Crockett. Radio host Joanne Warner encouraged the bosses to give their assistance the rest of the day off...but many of them knew they had an office to run...and appreciated the luncheon.
