Crime Stoppers Crime of the Week: Felon fled from Adult Probation Department

ANGELINA COUNTY, TX (News Release) - Crime Stoppers wants your help locating an Angelina County probation absconder who resisted efforts to take him into custody.

As of April 25, 2015, Glenn Earl Smallwood Jr. is wanted in Angelina County on a felony probation warrant, related to his May 2012 arrest and conviction for Burglary of a building, and a Washington County, Texas warrant for Resisting Arrest, Search or Transport.

Friday, April 17, 2015, members of the Angelina County Community Supervision and Corrections Department Warrant Team attempted to apprehend Smallwood at a trailer house on South Main Street in Huntington. Smallwood's girlfriend, who also lives at the trailer, claimed that Smallwood was not inside the trailer but Smallwood exited a bedroom within the trailer when the Warrant Team requested to search the structure.

Smallwood fled on foot when the Warrant Team attempted to handcuff him. He ran, with the Warrant Team pursuing him, through several pastures and disappeared into a wooded area.

Glenn Earl Smallwood Jr. is a 25-year-old black male who stands 6 feet 02 inches tall and weighs approximately 220 pounds. The image included here was taken following a November 2014 arrest.
