NACOGDOCHES, TX (KTRE) - Nacogdoches Police officers who were following up on an unrelated incident arrested two men on drug charges at an apartment complex on Pearl Street Tuesday night.
Keith Allen Hillyer, 37, and Michael Taundre Davis, 38, both of Nacogdoches, are still being held in the Nacogdoches County Jail. Hillyer was charged with first-degree felony manufacture or delivery of a controlled substance, and Davis was charged with state-jail felony possession of a controlled substance under 1 gram.
Hillyer's bail amount was set at $25,000, and Davis' was set at $7,500.
According to the police report, Nacogdoches Police officers went to the College Park apartment complex in the 1500 block of Pearl Street to follow up on an unrelated incident at about 9:55 p.m. Tuesday. While officers were there, he or she spotted two suspicious-looking men in a vehicle.
Hillyer was found to be in possession of between 4 and 200 grams of a controlled substance that was packaged in "a manner consistent with distribution," the report stated. Davis was allegedly found to be in possession of less than 1 gram of a controlled substance.
Both men were arrested at the scene and taken to the jail.
