LUFKIN, TX (KTRE) - The new Sleep Inn/ Main Stay hybrid hotel is being brought to Lufkin by businessman Kelvy McCallo. The hotel will employee an estimated 10 to 15 people. The hotel will house two different styles under one roof. The hotel is located at the intersection of Timberland Dr. and Loop 287.
The Main Stay hotel side will allow for patrons to rent for an extended amount of time and will have a kitchen area. The Sleep Inn side will have rooms that are the same size as the Main Stay side, but will not have the kitchen office.
The new hotel is expected to open up in July. The original plan for the hotel was to open in April but weather has delayed the construction.
