NACOGDOCHES COUNTY, TX (KTRE) - After a Nacogdoches County Sheriff's deputy responded to a criminal trespass report in the area of County Road 299 and US Highway 59 North, he wound up arresting the suspect on an outstanding aggravated sexual assault of a child warrant.
David Lawrence Davis II, 26, of Garrison, is still being held in the Nacogdoches County Jail on a first-degree aggravated sexual assault of a child charge. A Nacogdoches grand jury indicted Davis on the charge in January 2014 and set his bail at $100,000.
According to the Nacogdoches County Sheriff's Office activity report, an NCSO deputy was dispatched out to the area of CR 299 and US 59 in Garrison at about 3:19 Tuesday in reference to a 911 call about criminal trespass. The report stated that a man who had been previously given a criminal trespass warning in regard to an apartment complex was spotted near the property by its manager.
The responding deputy located the subject, who was later identified as Davis, and ran his name and date of birth. The NCSO deputy arrested Davis without incident after he or she found that Davis had outstanding arrest warrant for aggravated sexual assault of a child.
According to the report, the apartment manager was contacted, but the deputy did not file a Class C misdemeanor charge against Davis.
The text of the indictment stated that the aggravated sexual assault charge is in connection to allegations that Davis molested a girl that was younger than 6 on November 1, 2014.
