TRINITY, TX (KTRE) - A Trinity woman is behind bars with a $30,000 bond after allegedly assaulting a family friend with brass knuckles.
Trinity Police Department arrested 24-year-old Natarsha James on a Harris County warrant this morning for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
According to Officer Givens, the altercation began after James wanted to leave with her child and come back to East Texas. The daughter's godmother, who has custody of the child, called her own daughter to make sure the child wasn't taken by James.
Police say James beat-up the woman, who came to the help her daughter's godmother. She allegedly beat the woman with brass knuckles until she bled and according to Harris county officials, only stopped because the woman supposedly had HIV.
James has not posted bond and is in custody of the Trinity Police Department.
