NACOGDOCHES, TX (KTRE) -

Readers of any age will explore all things heroic this summer at the Nacogdoches library. The Summer Kick-Off is Saturday, June 6.

We all know the Nacogdoches librarians are heroes, but as a reminder they wore hero capes all this week. It kept them in the spirit of things as they decorated and planned activities for tomorrow's big event. The summer library program theme is “Every Hero Has a Story.”

"Tomorrow we've got a sign up for all the reading programs,” said Mercedes Franks, the director of the Nacogdoches Public Library. “We also have a full schedule of Minecraft. Tomorrow there will also be an opportunity to take photos, some really neat snacks, all sorts of fun stuff to do."

The community is invited to the Summer Kick-Off from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Be sure and ask about all the summer activities for tweens, teens and adults.
