Reports: SFA's Underwood not leaving for Iowa State

NACOGDOCHES, TX (KTRE) - ESPN is reporting Iowa State will hire Murray State coach Steve Prohm to replace Fred Hoiberg, ending speculation that SFA's Brad Underwood could get the job.

ESPN reported last week that Underwood and other candidates would interview for the position over the weekend.

The position became vacant when former head coach Fred Hoiberg accepted the NBA head coaching position with the Chicago Bulls.

Iowa State has been projected to be a top 10 team, and has won the Big 12 tournament in back-to-back seasons.
