He's made a trip to the NCAA's for four consecutive years, and he's got one last chance to make it count.
Stephen F. Austin 400 meter hurdler Joshua Taylor is a two-time All American, looking to win it all in his final track season.
The senior is also the school record holder for the 400 meter hurdles with a personal best time of 50.03 seconds.
Taylor hopes to run at an Olympics and will be competing in the USA Championships later this summer. For Taylor, the NCAA Championship is just another building block to competing at the games.
“I'm trying to suppress it all, suppress all the emotions and feelings about it and just focus on the race,” said Taylor. “When I get there I just want to soak it all in because it's the last one. I want to make it an enjoyable experience, but I know I'm on a mission as well because I want to go win it.”
The NCAA Championships are in Eugene, Oregon. Taylor will be running Wednesday where the top 24 in the nation have qualified to get to this point. The top eight runners will then run again in the finals Friday.
