CROCKETT, TX (KTRE) - Saturday's mayoral run-off election in the City of Crockett, which drew less than 500 people to the polls, has unofficially turned into a successful re-election bid for Mayor Robert Meadows.

He faced local real estate broker Charles Arnold. According to the unofficial results released by City Secretary Mitzi Thompson, Meadows, who had 264 total votes, bested Arnold, 209 vote, by 55 votes.

Meadows can claim victory, but it won't be official until the votes are canvassed by the city council on Tuesday, June 23rd.
