TRINITY, TX (KTRE) - A Trinity woman struck the railroad warning post at the intersection of Robb and 3rd Street around 3:30 Friday afternoon.

The driver, Gladys Ruffin, 38, was arrested by Chief Jones and charged with felony driving while intoxicated with a child under 15.

"The vehicle was reported for reckless driving already. A good Samaritan and his sister helped to get them out of the car," Jones said.

According to Trinity Police, there were three occupants in the vehicle. The occupants were able to get of the vehicle right before a train struck it. All three occupants reported no injuries. The train has been moved, and all crossings are opened back up.

As of now, no bond has been set.
