Big Storms Sweep East Texas

Many ran for shelter after a severe storm swept accross parts of East Texas.

While the storms mainly hit Nacogdoches and San Augustine, you could still see the edges of it as far off as Lufkin. There was a tremendous amount of lightning and law enforcement reported that there was quarter size hail throughout Nacogdoches.

Officials in San Augustine reported dime size hail in the county, but no reports of any damage.

Nacogdoches police say no damage was reported due to the hail, however there was an accident shortly after the storm began on North Street that police say wet roads may have been to blame.
